Possible causes of the issue:
1. User rubs the palm of their hand or finger across the touch pad while typing.
2. Other applications are opening due to pressure on the touchpad (Windows thinks that the mouse has been clicked.)
The solution to this issue is to check the box for "Disable Tapping while Typing" and adjust the sensitivity down a little to compensate for finger or palm drag. Both of these settings are located in the mouse properties.
