Battery Not Charging

Follow these steps in troubleshooting battery losing charge quickly or battery not charging issues:

1. Turn off system.

2. Remove battery and try powering system using AC Adapter only.

Does it power on?

• If yes, try another battery (if available).
• If no, it needs to be sent it for repair for possible AC Connector/ systemboard issue. Contact Fujitsu Service Desk at 1-800-8FUJITSU (1-800-838-5487)

3. Reinsert the battery into the system.

Does it charge?

• If yes, let the battery charge fully and the issue may have been resolved by reseating the battery.
• If no, try another AC Adapter (if available).

Does it power on?

• If yes, the issue has been resolved.
• If no, try another AC Adapter and if it powers on, AC Adapter needs to be replaced.

Other things you can try if resources are available:

Try another battery or try using another notebook of same model and see if it still loses charge quickly.

• If yes, the notebook needs battery replacement. Contact Fujitsu Service Desk at 1-800-8FUJITSU (1-800-838-5487) if system is still under warranty.
• If no, the system likely needs to be repaired for a possible DC-In port / systemboard issue. Again Contact Fujitsu Service Desk at 1-800-8FUJITSU (1-800-838-5487) if system is still under warranty.
