Follow these steps to troubleshoot distorted audio when playing movies or music.
1. Check if the audio drivers are installed properly
- Check on device manager of possible conflicts.
- If there is a Yellow !: reinstall the driver using the Drivers and Applications CD or download it from Fujitsu Support Site
3. If you are using Windows Media Player, you can try downloading the latest codec package from Microsoft's website. For WMP 9 or later go to: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=06fcaab7-dcc9-466b-b0c4-04db144bb601&displaylang=en
Note: Scratches from media CD/DVD or a bad media file can also produce distorted sound.
